Thrive with us! Are you looking for an opportunity to develop your soccer competencies and understanding of the game in a fun and competitive format? Join us for tryouts held each June. Note that the commitment includes both fall and spring soccer seasons.

​​​​​2026-2027 TRYOUTS ARE JUNE 15 & 16, 2026. Registration is open!
Tryouts are for DSC Select teams only. Tryouts are not held for recreational or Cubs programs. Recreational and Cubs program registration will open at a later date. ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

AGE GROUP CHANGE: Beginning in Fall 2026, United States Youth Soccer and Michigan State Youth Soccer Association (the organizations that govern the leagues DSC teams play in) and DSC will switch to a registration year running from August 1st through July 31st of the following year. The goal is to better align teams with school grades. All players should register for tryouts in their proper AGE GROUP according to the matrix below. Although not listed U15+ (older than August 2012) teams are possible. A team in this age group would depend on the number of interested players. ​
EVALUATION/TRYOUT REGISTRATION FEE: Free

LOCATION: DeWitt Soccer Club Main Game Field Complex—west of the high school student parking lot.
Arrive 30 minutes before your age group's posted tryout time to check in and find your field.

EQUIPMENT NEEDED: Shin guards are required. Bring plenty of water and an inflated soccer ball.
REGISTER: Create an account or log in through PlayMetrics to sign up for tryouts. Online tryout registration is required for all participants. Details below. ​

*We will possibly run one "elite" team if there are enough players at tryouts ready to play at this competitive level. This team would be playing in the older U9 division through Capital Area Soccer League (CASL). Players chosen to play on this team should be ready to play at the next level and be ready to learn at practices.
CAN'T MAKE IT TO TRYOUTS? REACH OUT TO US.
In the interest of equitable assessments, it is important that our evaluators are able to compare players to their peers during their scheduled evaluation time. If extenuating circumstances exist, notify us right away. Approved reasons to miss tryouts include planned family vacations or injury/illness (not conflicting sports activities). Missing tryouts may impact a child's ability to be fairly assessed and should be avoided. If unavoidable, reach out in advance and we will contact you to set up a different evaluation date and time. No extra tryouts can be scheduled after the tryout date since team formation will already be underway.
POST TRYOUT/EVALUATION EXPECTATIONS
All participants will be individually notified, regardless of the result, by a DeWitt Soccer Club coach or staff member. Players offered a roster position are asked to accept their offer and make an initial deposit via PlayMetrics. Participants can expect to hear from DSC within the week.
