CASL: Coaches Meeting set for March 26th, 7-9pm at Michigan High School Athletic Association. Common Ground will have 4X4 Tournament will be July 12-13.

Many issues were discussed with CASL Coaches who were present.

Chuck Murdoch discussed the practice fields and the practice schedules. They are hoping to seed Fuerstenau this spring and use in the fall if not in uscVthis spring. Springbrook Hills field will not be used this spring. High School fields are set up for U-I 0 games this year. Would like parent representative and other parent volunteers to help with clean up this spring of all fields. The coaches were able to check practice schedules and make any changes.

The fees for the maintenance of fields is $100.00 in the fall and then again in the spring. There were many questions about this not being the nOnTIal policy. It was stated that this has always been the policy but not necessarily enforced. It will now be enforced. With all the coaches registering together through our CASL representative, it will be easier to keep tract and enforce the fees.

Angie Schneider discussed the need for help with the Golf Outing and 4X4 fund-raisers from each individual team. Including any ideas for sponsors, doorprizes and getting the word to the parents for help also. They were given infonTIation packets that they could copy and pass out to team parents. Each team was asked to help recruit golfers as well. They were also asked to have the parent representative attend the 4X4 infonTIation meeting on April 9th. Discussed that each team be required to volunteer atleast 20 hours for the 4X4 tournament. Including referees, concession, and set up/tear down. Wendy Embs suggested a letter to give to parents for list of needs and areas to volunteer. Also suggested was having an additional referee clinic one month prior to the tournament to allow those people with uncertainty be more prepared and possibly gain more volunteers.

We discussed the possibility of having a club coach to work with each individual team, The other ideas were having development/skills camps, weekend clinics to help players work as a team, These could be for players as well as the coaches.

High School: No report.

Fields: Chuck Murdoch reported that in order to secure times for the township fields is to pay them $25.00 for 2 hours. It was agreed to have Chuck try to negotiate it down to $250 and include some nets.

Promotions: 4X4 applications are at the printshop.

New Business: Bob Russo asked for approval for an Alumni Soccer game 45 minutes prior to a High School Girls game. Dave Barnhill volunteered to announce it Advertisements for the game would be Witt Channel, DeWitt-Bath Review, and Lansing State Journal. Bruce Thomas made the motion for approval. Mark Kellogg seconded it. Motion Approved. Bob Russo will get back with date, times, fee info.
